Mario Kart World isn’t even two months old, and it’s already on a 10% discount

Nintendo is using a pretty interesting strategy when it comes to the Switch 2. Instead of drowning people in titles day one, the company has been delivering a slow but steady trickle of games for people to enjoy over the coming months. And given how much these games cost now, it’s probably for the best for everyone’s wallet.

The Switch of your dreams

Mario Kart World was the first title, and you could grab a Switch 2 console with the game bundled in. However, if you couldn’t (or didn’t want to) go down that route, you can now score the game for 10% off. Yes, the game isn’t even two months old, and it’s already on discount.

Why Mario Kart World is a solid pickup for the Switch 2

If you somehow missed the excitement around this game, Mario Kart World takes the familiar go-karting formula and adds an open world to it. The end result is a game where you can race on the tracks, then drive around the scenery, check out hidden puzzles, and unlock costumes. There’s even a mode where you drive between each track you’re about to race on.

We wrote a review of Mario Kart World, and here’s what we thought about it:

Mario Kart World is ultimately a fantastic new take on the Mario Kart formula, even if the open world feels like an unnecessary addition. The open world does allow for the new Knockout Tour mode, which is one of the best additions to the franchise in decades, so its inclusion is necessary. The Free Roam mode is a waste, though, filled with boring challenges that are difficult and obtuse to track your progress for.

If you fancy giving it a shot, you can snag it on Woot, which Amazon owns. That does mean you can get it with Prime shipping if you’re a subscriber, which is always a plus. For a week, the game will be at a 10% discount for $71.99, so snag it before it drives off.
